Answer in brief

How this reference was compiled. Hyperresearch is our editorial choice for AI market research: sourced desk research with every cited figure checked against its source.

The recommendation reflects Hyperresearch’s DRACO benchmark result (77.7, in our own run) and the published sources in this reference. Hyperresearch is our product. This is not a hands-on test of every tool.

What we did

  • We chose 13 tools across four jobs: desk research, primary research, competitive intelligence and trend discovery. We picked them from the tools most often named in existing “best AI market research tools” lists and in buyer questions on Quora and review sites.
  • For each tool we collected pricing, data sources, citation behaviour, API availability and limitations. We used the vendor’s own pricing pages, documentation and press releases first, independent reporting second, and third-party price data (Vendr) only where the vendor publishes nothing. Third-party figures are labelled as estimates.
  • Every fact was checked on 7 November 2026. Where sources disagreed, for example on monthly report limits, we left the number out rather than pick one.

What we did not do

  • We did not run paid hands-on trials of the enterprise tools (AlphaSense, Crayon, Klue, Similarweb, quantilope, Listen Labs). Our notes on them come from public sources.
  • We did not use affiliate links. No vendor paid to be included.

The accuracy benchmark

The DRACO scores come from a benchmark run that Hyperresearch did and published in October 2026. Ten tasks, one from each of DRACO’s ten domains, went to every system, graded with the paper’s per-criterion grader and GPT-5.2 as judge. Most reports were graded twice. Valyu, Parallel and You.com scores were graded from reports those companies published. The full method, per-task scores and limitations are at hyperresearch.ai/benchmarks/draco.

Ten tasks is a small sample, and we make one of the systems tested. Treat the result as one data point, and test tools on your own questions.
